was going on with president obama at the big debate with governor mitt romney last night? we have learned that 67.2 million americans were watching last night and governor romney came out swinging. the president seemed to be dodging the fight. with only 33 days to go until your voice, your vote, why was the president off his game? has the whole race changed today? we'll start with abc's jake tapper, he is in wisconsin, traveling with the president tonight. jake? >> reporter: good evening, diane. yes, that performance by the president that won former democratic party chairman referred to at disinterested and passive was the talk of the campaign today. campaign aides say they don't have any explanation as to why the president was the way he was, other than a general inclination to play it safe, but however cold his performance may have left even some supporters last night, today, the president came out with some fire. before a crowd of 12,000 in denver, the president tried to turn his opponent's polished debate performance into proof of his phoniness. >> when i got onto the stage, i met thi

[ laughter ] and it also happens to be, tonight happens to be the obama's 20th wedding anniversary. that seems very convenient. honey, i'd love to go to the ballet with you, but i'm debating mitt romney that night. hey, mitt, help me out, will you? whose candidates loose. you can pick either president obama or romney. >> all right. remember being a kid looking forward to that huge christmas catalog? thecitisments now a thing of the past or are they? why one store is bringing them back. >> retail is all about smart phones and tablets. they are launching apps and going digital for everything, then why is restoration hardware going back to the 1980s? this is about as low tech as you can get. restoration hardware is mailing out this 700 page boat anchor of a catalog to thousands of homes right now along with a smaller one. it's like the sears wish book from the 70s and 80s and clocks it at more than three and a half pounds. what gives in they want to make a statement and become a living room coffee table book that people flip through all year long. the smaller book is for the bathroom. the social action website change.org has launch aid petition drive urging the store to limit the mailing say figure it ends up going to the trash can doesn't that stink? the store points out it's made from recycled paper. the mail service is thrill
